Frequently Asked Questions

Got questions? We’ve got answers. If you don’t see what you’re looking for, reach out to us directly.

Is the program virtual or in-person?

SheScales Africa is fully virtual, making it accessible to female founders across the continent and diaspora. All sessions, workshops, and mentorship meetings will be conducted online through our interactive platform.

Is there a fee to apply or participate?

No, SheScales Africa is completely free to apply and participate. We believe in removing financial barriers to accessing quality investment readiness training. Our program is made possible through our partners and sponsors who share our mission.

What's the time commitment?

The program requires 3–4 hours per week for 6 weeks. This includes live workshops, one-on-one mentorship sessions, homework assignments, and peer collaboration time. We’ve designed the schedule to be manageable for busy founders.

Do I need to have a certain amount of revenue or users?

While we don’t have strict numerical requirements, we look for startups with demonstrable traction. This could be paying customers, active users, pilot programs, partnerships, or other meaningful validation. The key is showing that your solution has market demand.

What if I'm not ready to raise funding immediately?

That’s perfectly fine! While our ideal participants are planning to raise within 3–12 months, we welcome founders who want to get investment-ready for future fundraising. The skills and materials you’ll develop will serve you whenever you’re ready to engage investors.
